A Family Get-Together

Our family tries to find excuses to have a get-together. November is a special month for us. Four out of the five siblings celebrate birthdays on this month. My brother celebrates his on the 4th, a sister on the 9th, me on the 13th, and our youngest sister who is in the US on the 26th. Today, we decided to jointly celebrate my sister who celebrated her birthday last Nov. 9 and mine. My brother had earlier celebrated his the previous weekend.

After Angel's violin lessons, we went to buy pork barbecue (P17 per stick) and pichi-pichi with cheese (P200 for 40 pcs.) at Amber along Filmore St. in Makati City. The place has improved a lot since the first time we visited the place. It's brighter and looks cleaner.

waiting for our number to be called
seats are provided while waiting
limited parking space is available along emilia street
After, getting our order, we proceeded to Amorsolo Street in Makati to buy from an office there the "Sweet Surrender" cake from the Sweet Life by Ange. It has graham cracker as crust, layers of French vanilla ice cream and soft meringue and finally topped by mercedes de brazo.

had to borrow this picture from the website of The Sweet Life of Ange because i didn't have time to take a photo of the one we bought as it was immediately consumed
We had to drop by SM Hypermart in Gil Puyat corner SLEX to buy some chicken, soda and ice. Finally, we picked up the Pancit Malabon we ordered at Bahay Pancitan  in our village.

We had to wait for my sister and her family, who brought pizzas from Pizza Hut, to arrive before we were able to have our merienda.

Some of the family members arrived one by one as they had Saturday classes. When all of us had our tummies filled, we posed for some photos beside our Christmas tree.

the only family member missing is our sister  and her husband who are in the states. our father passed  away more than two years ago

Everyone was so full that no one had asked for dinner. The next get-together would probably be on Christmas eve which the children eagerly await as they finally get their gifts from under the Christmas tree.

Hey, super nakakainggit ang happy family mo. Kasi marami kayo kaya masaya unlike ours. There's nothing like a joyful family reunions through birthdays! Happy birthday to you and your sis!

Btw, forgot to answer your question you left on my blog. My daughter I think is going to El Nido this time coz she already has visited Coron last year. Thanks for the visit ha?

mejo marami nga kami, 5 siblings, 7 apos, 2 apos sa tuhod. pero in my own family we have only one child kaya i would really prefer family reunions, ha ha ha

El Nido is great. I guess it being a little isolated makes it more desirable and exotic. pero personally, i prefer coron as there are much more to see and go to.
