Johnny Chow: We had returned

With our last voucher for Johnny Chow about to expire, we decided to use and have dinner there after our daughter's school's Family Day yesterday. We got there before 7 PM and found the place less crowded than the first time we went there. We were quickly taken to our table and handed the menu.

Since we were low on funds and taking on the challenge not to exceed the P1000 voucher, I was the one who ordered. I originally wanted to have the rice bowls but the wife didn't seem to like the idea.

We ordered yangchow rice, lemon chicken, and lechon macau and pork asado. We didn't order drinks anymore since we would be exceeding our target bill.

With the two courses ordered, the yangchow rice was just enough for the three of us. It came with a few slices of pork asado. The rice was a little bland for my taste.

I liked the lemon chicken. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy (parang hot dog commercial ah, he he he). The lemon sauce was just right, not too sweet and not too sour.
Last to arrive was the lechon macau and pork asado. There were four large chunks of the lechon macau and about seven slices of the pork asado. The lechon macau was yummy with the meat very tender. However, the skin was not as crispy as I would have wanted.  My favorite condiment, the chili oil, was used liberally since I loved my food to be spicy.
Our daughter only ate a little claiming she was full and just trying out the lechon and lemon chicken, which left my wife and I to finish off everything.
And how much was the total bill? P994 which is six pesos less than the value of the voucher, ha ha ha

Ganda ng place! Parang masarap lahat ang food nila. I wish we could go and eat there one of these days. Out of way kasi sa amin ito eh! But really, I wanna go to Resort World actually. Dun ito, di ba?

Have a great day Noel! Ingat!

Yup, it's in Newport Mall and part of the Resorts World complex. Most of the time kasi Mcdonald's lang kinakain namin doon dahil un lang ang mura, he he he

Paminsan-minsan, we do splurge on food.

Paminsan-minsan lang din naman, you should try the place :). They have food establishments, movie houses, game arcade and of course, the casino, ha ha ha

I have an upcoming post about Johnny Chow. They have a lot of good eats but there are some that was too salty. I scheduled it for a later date so I can arrange some of my posts kasi. Hehehe!
